Brain structure continues to change throughout life and it has been shown that this process is partly driven by genes.The aim of the ENIGMA plasticity working group is to identify the genes involved in brain plasticity.

We are inviting groups with longitudinal MRI and GWA data to join in this effort.

Currently, we are working on a meta-analysis of heritability on longitudinal brain changes using the established ENIGMA protocols. We will investigate heritability of structural brain changes in a longitudinal setting to determine which phenotypes are suitable for a GWAS.
